The Grinch quilt is done!

I did it...I got my son's Grinch quilt done and off the frame today.  Now to get the binding on and then hopefully make 2 pillow cases to match.  I will post photos when I get it done...

Christmas tree skirt

So the tree skirt took me about 20 hours of quilting.  Once it was done, I was a little sad to see it go.  The good news, however, is that a friend of mine bought it at the charity auction!  And it raised $450 for the charity, so all is well.  My friend even let me have it back to that I could enter it into HMQS (Home machine quilting show) in Salt Lake City.  It was entered into the 2011 show and it earned an Honorable Mention ribbon.  I was quite excited about that!

Yippee!!  My room is getting there....hopefully by the end of the week it will be sewing worthy :)
